L’Oréal Family & Friends

L’Oréal F&F is a website that sells L’Oréal products that are on sale, only invited members are allowed to access the website using their invited email and code.

Brief

• Design a e-commerce website following closely to L’Oréal’s brand guidelines
• User-friendly interface
• Seamless login & inviting of family & friends useflow
• Straight to the point home page structures showing necessary sections when users first land on the page after login

Styleguide

Following closely to L’Oréal’s branding, the website look and feel uses L’Oréal’s branding colours and fonts. I proposed to incorporate the brand's textures & graphics minimally throughout the website, this enhance the overall user experience.

Sitemap

In order for seamless user experience throughout the application, I created this sitemap with a well categorised navigation tabs for users to explore each modules at ease.

Home page

As the main point of this website was to immediately point users to see their products & brands available on the site at first glance.

I proposed a hero banner with impactful images and messaging about any current/new products they are selling to attract user's attention. Followed by brands section as user might want to shop different brands under L’Oréal. Categories section comes next to help in simplifying navigation and lastly, products section & footer section.

Navigation & Search Function

I went for a hamburger menu on the left side of the page as it looks modern. The navigation is categorised into Best Selling, Brands, Categories and My Account tabs.

There are many product brands under L’Oréal, that is why the search result function categorised the results by brands. This helps users to look for what they want efficiently.

Browsing products & checkout

Product listing page includes a left side filtering bar for users to filter specific products/brands for their own needs. A quick view is added for each product to lead users to a popup screen of the product details rather than bringing users to a new page that might divert the user's attention.

Login & invitation

Clean & simple designs for login and invitation. I used the brand's textures and graphics minimally on the background so the pages does not look to boring or static.

Notes

This project was assigned to me with a tight timeline as it has to be live for customers to shop. As I had a lot of experience in e-commerce projects, I was able to complete the designs quickly and smoothly with minor feedbacks.

There will not be any current live website for this as it is a limited event.
